Serial cash drawers are connected directly to your PC through the RS232 port and are triggered by your software. While it is true that the majority of all cash drawers sold today are receipt printer driven, serial cash drawers are still very popular in applications where most sales transactions do not require a printed receipt, like variety stores. Serial cash drawers are also polular in applications where full page, detailed sales receipts are used, as in automotive repair shops.

The M-S Cash Drawer J-423 is an economical serial / RS232 interface drawer that features an all steel construction, creating a secure and sturdy solution for your money handling needs. At 15.9" x 16.7" x 3.86" and approximately 20 lbs, the J-423 is small enough to fit in most point of sale installations and heavy enough to stay put when you need it. Available with an RS-232 serial interface, the M-S Cash Drawer J-423 is a versatile solution for virtually any point of sale location.
